We - The Igbos are a group of people from the Igbo tribe that speak a common language - the Igbo language and have common cultural values and traditional values.
We constitute a large ethnic group in southern Nigeria. We are known for our rich cultural values and have high regards to the sanctity of life and the promotion of common good. We are very resourceful people and one of the earliest practicing democratic societies in the world. We promote equity and justice wherever we are found all over the world.
We have thus grown from strength to strength and have achieved a lot both here in the UK and for our people at home since inception.
Ogbako Ndi Igbo serves as a symbol of unity and an icon of togetherness for Igbo Unions in the UK, showcasing the Igbo belief of ‘I di na otu bu ike’ – Unity is Strength!
We form a common voice to advocate for our people both here in the UK and in Nigeria and ths gives us a bigger voice than ever with positive effects since we started
Many Igbo associations are far too small in number that executing any significant project in Igbo land will be a very difficult challenge with huge financial cost.
When all associations come together they can exchange ideas especially as it pertains to live in the UK for our people and encourage one another.
Ogbako is a beacon of peace and unity for all Igbo associations and unions. If any association has internal conflicts Ogbako Ndi Igbo comes to their aid and arbitrates to bring peace and we have examples where we have carried this out successfully.
Ogbako UK serves as a pivot that coordinates and provides resources to unions where applicable like offering the service of Ogbako Legal Team, sharing Igbo Education resources and any other socio-cultural resources which we have.
