Why Join

Ogbako Ndi Igbo

As an umbrella we have thus grown from strength to strength and have achieved a lot both here in the UK and for our people at home since inception. We want your union to be part of the success story.

  • Symbol of Unity→ Ogbako Ndi Igbo serves as a symbol of unity and an icon of togetherness for Igbo Unions in the UK, showcasing the Igbo belief of ‘I di na otu bu ike’ – Unity is Strength!
  • Exchange of Knowledge→ When all associations come together they can exchange ideas especially as it pertains to life in the UK for our people and encourage one another.
  • Advocacy→ We form a common voice to advocate for our people both here in the UK and in Nigeria and this gives us a bigger voice than ever with positive effects since we started.
  • Beacon of Peace→ Ogbako Ndigbo is a beacon of peace and unity for all Igbo associations and unions. If any association has internal conflicts Ogbako Ndi Igbo comes to their aid and arbitrates to bring peace and we have examples where we have carried this out successfully.
  • Projects/Investment→ Many Igbo associations are far too small in number that executing any significant project in Igbo land will be a very difficult challenge with huge financial cost. With Ogbako Ndigbo your union can impact life both here and ala igbo.
